Tankless Water Heaters: Save Energy, Save Money, Earth-Friendly
HOW DOES TANKLESS WORK?
Tankless hot water heaters provide hot water only as it is needed – vs. traditional storage water heaters that have standby water, resulting in energy losses and higher costs. Tankless water heaters (also called instantaneous or on-demand water heaters) deliver hot water faster for less cost.
When a hot water tap is turned on, cold water travels through a pipe into the unit. The water is heated in one of 2 ways: electric element or a gas burner. Tankless water heaters deliver a constant supply of hot water with no wait for a storage tank to fill up with enough hot water. A gas heater usually produces higher flow rates than electric tankless water heaters.
Tankless can be 24% – 34% more energy efficient than conventional storage when using 41 gallons or less of hot water daily,
Tankless can be 8% – 14% more energy efficient for larger consumption, around 86 gallons per day
Tankless situated at each hot water outlet can garner even greater energy savings of 27% – 50%
TANKLESS SOLUTIONS
Some smaller Tankless Water Heaters, cannot supply enough hot water for simultaneous, multiple uses in large households – like taking a shower and running the dishwasher at the same time. To overcome this challenge, Exact installs the following:
a larger “whole house” type Heater
two or more Heaters connected in parallel for simultaneous demands of hot water
separate Heaters for large demand appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines

ENVIRONMENT IMPACT & ENERGY STAR LABEL
Did you know that the average house can be responsible for twice the greenhouse gas emissions as the average car? That’s because every time you flip on a light switch, run your dishwasher, or turn on your air conditioner, you use energy, which means more greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. So the more energy you can save through energy efficiency, the more you help to reduce greenhouse gases and the risks of global warming.
Save energy and money Standard tank-type water heaters consume energy round the clock to keep the water in its tank hot. By heating water only when needed ENERGY STAR qualified tankless water heaters save the typical family more than $100 per year on gas bills
Continuous hot water Tankless water heaters provide a continuous flow of hot water. Unlike a conventional tank-type water heater, the hot water is always there when you need it.
Space-saving design A qualified tankless model saves you an extra closet’s worth of space. Gas tankless water heaters are small and wall-mounted, unlike bulky tank-type water heaters.
Long-Term Value
Tankless water heaters have a life expectancy of 20 years, much longer than any conventional tank-type water heater. With a tankless hot water heater, the risk of tank leaks and water damage virtually erased.
